About
The Hexlite Induction Cooktop is luxury heating and prep surface. For this product I focused on the 7 principles of "universal design", and my inspiration is users who love cooking and only have the ability to use 1 arm/ hand. This cook-top utilizes the entire surface as a heating surface, allowing users to place their pan/pot anywhere on the surface for heating. The top surface is made of ceramic glass and can be used to chop and slice food. Underneath the top surface consists of nearly 250 hexagon induction cells. These cells work each have sensors that detect the placement of where a pan/pot is placed. When the cells recognize the pan it creates a custom shape and colored LED lite profile to help users set heating controls. The heating controls are brightly displayed on the front touch user interface. Also, the top surface is magnetic which holds pan in place and prevents them from accidentally being slide across the surface.
